Kara and Patrick Cowdroy would like to welcome you to stay at our accommodation set amongst some of the most breathtaking mountain environments in the U.K.

'Apartment One' is situated in the heart of the North West Highlands of Scotland, approximately 9 miles from Kyle of Lochalsh and a mile further towards the famous Isle of Skye. This well-appointed, quality one-bedroomed apartment is attached to our shop 9-1-4 Outdoor on Aird point in Ardelve near to Dornie village and has been redeveloped and has been used by ourselves.

Apartment One's location is breathtaking and being just 100 metres from the water’s edge, it has uninterrupted views across Ardelve Bay and Loch Alsh and the Isle of Skye encompassing the famous Black and Red Cuillin mountain ranges.

The world famous Eilean Donan Castle, the most photographed castle in Scotland and star of film and advert, is a mere 300 metres walk from the apartment with the main castle block being seen from the lower parts of the garden.

This accommodation is perfect for a couple or 1 person who prefer the finer things in life whilst taking in natural beauty of the area, which is literally on the doorstep.

Being close to the A87, the apartment's situation is a rare mix of privacy and convenience and no expense has been spared on the fixtures and fittings on the inside.

Whichever window you gaze out of you will see the most amazing views. So imagine eating you breakfast or sat relaxing with a glass of wine on the decking whilst watching buzzards, heron, curlew, oyster-catchers and sometimes a golden eagle in the skies above. In the water, porpoises and dolphins are frequent visitors to Ardelve Bay while chasing the schools of mackerel which jump out of the water making the loch surface bubble. Even on or near our garden, red deer and the elusive pine marten have also been seen from Apartment One. However, no amount of words can fully justify the views and sights you will experience if you choose to stay here for a week, or two; and that’s without leaving the apartment.

Apartment One is also ideally situated if you decide to venture further afield and explore wild and wonderful Lochalsh, the mystical Isle of Skye or the Applecross Peninsula.

Once you are here, you will realise Lochalsh has a lot more to offer the walker, Munro-bagger, mountaineer (Summer or Winter) climber, photographer, twitcher, kayaker, mountain biker, artist and diver. Even sailors will find this the perfect location due the area's vast array of coastline beeches, inlets and coves and there is the added convenience of a council-owned jetty just 20 metres away from the grounds where you can launched into deep water. If all this sounds just a little too energetic for you, then we have chilling out and doing absolutely nothing covered aswell as you will see from the facilities provided for your comfort.

Whichever season you choose to visit, the wonders and ever-changing colours of Lochalsh and Skye really are here right at your door.
